The Maguire Medical Library has been awarded the 2017 CONBLS Distinguished Library Award by its peers in the Consortium of Southern Biomedical Libraries(CONBLS). The award recognizes the Maguire Library's achievements in scholarly communications and open access with the publication of The PLAID Journal for diabetes research.
The CONBLS Distinguished Library Award was established by the Consortium of Southern Biomedical Libraries with the goal to recognize member libraries that “demonstrate innovation and sustainable new programs that benefit their institution and/or greater community."
