The medical library doors are open to everyone during staffed hours (Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM). Only Florida State University College of Medicine full-time faculty, students, and staff have card access to the library study space before 8 AM and after 5 PM. Students enrolled in the undergraduate Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences degree program are not eligible for 24/7 access.
Full-Time Faculty and Staff
All full-time faculty and staff are granted 24/7 card access to the medical library space upon hiring. New FSU COM full-time hires must obtain a FSUCard and complete onboarding procedures before gaining card access. FSU College of Medicine Student Access
Only medical, physician assistant, and biomedical sciences graduate students may request 24/7 access to the medical library during unstaffed hours.
New students must complete the CoM Card Access form to gain 24/7 building access. For optional card access to the medical library, students must successfully complete the medical library section in the CoM Card Access form (MEDNet > CoM Resources > Card Access).
During closing procedures, confirm that all those present are FSU COM students, faculty, or staff who have been granted access. To verify by name adn/or FSU Card number in the Authorized Users for 24/7 Card Access to the Medical Library list (MEDNet > CoM Resources > Card Access > Medical Library).
