Medical knowledge evolves through a process of research...

  • Study a topic, ask questions and propose theories, get data to prove/disprove theories, document results;
  • Share results, discussions and conclusions with the world through scholarly communication channels;
  • ​Undergo peer review: formally in journals and informally at conferences or other professional gatherings; and
  • Continue to study a topic, ask more questions, etc., and share in the process of scholarly communication
