IMS Senior Seminar Library Research Learning Module

Pre- and Post-Class Assignments

Pre- and post-class assigned learning modules to be completed before and after library instruction in the IHS 4501 senior seminar class. In the pre-class assignment, students will register an EndNote online account, search for and import a reference from PubMed, and share the reference in an EndNote online group with the instructor. In the post-class assignment, students will find a government report, create a reference in EndNote online, and cite the reference in APA 7th style.

IMS Senior Seminar PowerPoint Presentation

The Conducting Library Research PowerPoint presentation provides a framework for the beginning and end of the in-person lesson and is to be used as a supplement to the learning activities.

IMS Senior Seminar Learning Activity Handouts

IMS Senior Seminar learning activities for searching in PubMed and Web of Science. Students are to complete each 10-minute learning activity in groups of 2 to 4 learners. A 60-minute class will allow for an introduction/overview, discussion questions after each learning activity, and final questions or comments.
